Brant Peacher called me this afternoon to hit the redfish on his new flats boat. Ran into Blackwater with glass conditions and an incoming tide. Hammered the redfish and caught a few big trout. Actually lost a 5-6# trout at the boat. I was using a 1/4 Johnson Spoon and Brant was using a Gulp! Jerkshad. Fish were way off the banks in 3' of water. Then we ran out of gas, then the trolling motor stopped and I tried to pole us to the bank in 10' of water. Thank you to Eric M. for towing us in and I hope you scored in the spot we told you about!!! The topic for my next seminar will be "putting gas in a boat." Brant, I hope you can attend!

Total- 16 Redfish(few small ones, most at 23-26 1/2") 2 Trout at 2 and 3.5 pounds. Lost the big one.

All fish released.

Now that's a fun story, especially for an experienced crew !

AND, I have to admit, I feel like I need to go buy a pair of "HotPants" like that !

we'll have to get together and do one of these trips on my boat, where I know everything works!

KEEP AN OCCASSIONAL RED HERE AND THERE FOR DINNER, BUT FOR
THE REST, PRACTICE HEALTHY CATCH & RELEASE TECHNIQUES
SAVE SOME FOR THE FUTURE!
