Nice Catch.. Get a vacuum sealer and freeze a few for when the sheepshead aren't around. I have one and use it all the time... I hardly ever keep my limit of Sheepshead 15 fish is to many to keep for 3 people, so I usually just keep 8 - 10 fish, this will feed us for a few dinners and when I pull them out of the vacuum sealer bag they tast just like they were caught that day. I think sheepshead are great eating... I can't wait till they are think in the pass and near Ft. Pickens. Thanks for sharing.

They are there a little bit, but they usually don't show up thick till around the middle of March.

Capt. John Rivers (2/16/2008) They are there a little bit, but they usually don't show up thick till around the middle of March.
Why are they thick in Destin right now, but don't get here for a month or so later??
Thanks!

Any luck catching them here using small hermit crabs?? Haven't tried using those down here yet...

| i just use fiddler crabs. They are better than shrimp & cant be beat for $1 a dozen. best way to clean them is with an electric knife. I kinda wanna make the trip today-they sure are fun on 6lb tackle.
