Can anyone shed some light on when in the tide cycle is best to fish for Reds? We normally go at night, but I have heard that 4-5 hours before high tide is the best, which is when we go, but with different results. Some times we catch reds 4-5 hours before high tide, sometimes we caught only trout. Any help would be great.

I've always had better luck around high tide, the hour before and hour after when fishing shoreline and shallows or wading. When fishing deeper holes and structure 2-3 hrs before low tide.
