Well the river was a little muddy and swift as hell so I went in search of some slow and clear water and was able to find some in the creeks. I did not find any specks but once I found that the bass were hitting decent I stayed with what was working. I will be cooking three bass that I kept for diner tonight... They are not huge but they taste so sweet!! Hope yall enjoy the post!!

Nice looking bass.  I know it's not popular, but I think bass are good eating too.

Did you manage to get around Weavers?  If so, what did the water look like over there?

I was able to move around with no problem but man it was swift in the man channels and the water was a little stained....so I stayed in the little creeks. And I know a lot of people don't like keeping bass and that is ok with me....but when I want fresh bass for dinner I can't go to Joe Patties and pick me up a couple of pounds so.......to each his own! You and I can enjoy eating them!!

Amen brother!

I need to get out and catch some jackfish for my step father.  He's in poor health and no longer fishes.  He used to love eating them and bugs me about catching him some.

If any anglers come across a few jacks, keep them and I will be more than happy to take them off your hands.  As a matter of fact, I might start a thread in the freshwater section with a humble request...

I boated 9 bass all together but the rest were under 12" inches. They all were caught on watermelon seed colored worm 7" inches on texas rig 1/4 oz. weight fished tight to the grass. The bite was good until the tide went out and then you could'nt buy a bite!!
