I went just east of the pier for a couple hours till dark. I didnt even have a bait stolen. There were others out. I saw only one fish brought in. No idea what it was.

The water was very off color from the storm. I am hoping it cleans up some for the weekend.

Yep, I was out there also today. The water is so dirty it will be a couple days again before it gets clear enough to have some luck.

was there  early this morning....winds were kicking hard out of the east.  Guy  by the pier  caught a  blue fish.  Thats  it nothing else.  Water was milky, clouds lower than yesterday, tide still coming in. Tested a 3 oz piramid sinker with two screws on it..it anchored good.

How did it retrieve?  I tried some surf fishing with the youngins this morning.  Boy, was it rough.  And the surf was really up, too.

It did  retreive very  good indeed for a 3 OZ'er  and 12 knot east winds .  It held just enough .  I've used some spider sinkers before and they do a good job don't get me wrong, but also I've experienced  that when it buries too much it can very tight, and I mean very very  tight to the point that if you get a large hit the  fish will break your line with out even bending your rod...that's  because the spider sinker gets anchored so good that it will snap your leader line (of course depending  of what poundage you are using  for your leader).  I'm experimenting  with screws .. . its easy and inexpensive.  I had a 5 oz on  an other rod (two sinkers, a 3 and a 2oz  together and it rolled about 100 feet west....I'd say it all depends of the currents too; if its reaping bad, it wil move anything regardless.
