The weather was not to great but I went out wading late this morning for about an hour. At some point in time I switched from a mirror-dean to a curly tale green jig. Started to get a bite or two, but could not connect. So I said to myself, ok. let me put Liz out there. Liz is a pumpkin colored 6in lizard that I have alot of luck with for some reason, basically a freshwater bait that is salted and made by zoom. Sure enough as soon as I put that out there I hooked a 20 in. red followed by a 18 in. red, of course I kept the 20in.

Been cooking them on the half shell on the grill for several years now.  Try making a mixture of dijon mustard and mayo (amounts vary depending on how much spice you like).  Slather that stuff on the meat side, shut the lid, and walk away.  Once that mixture turns into a nice crust, you're done!  Delish!

Sure did! As for redfish on the halfshell we cooked up our reds in the same manner and they came out great! to me its the only way to eat em

I rig it Texas style, with either a offset shank hook used for worms (with no weight). Or one of the weighted weedless setups with the little insert or screw to hod the bait.
