Where: Mingo Ridge out to the Edge
Seas: FLAT!
Comment: Lots of "weird" stuff today, lol... both of us are sore!

*Fish Caught:*

KINGS 15 to 18-lbs off floating tomtates (still can't believe tomtates catch kings!),

AJs 28 to 30" on butterfly jigs & cut squid dropped down on both carolina & chicken rigs,

TRIGGERS, small hooks & small pieces of squid, 13.5 to 14"

ALMACOS off jigs

MINGOS off squid

LANE SNAPPERS 16 to 18" loved squid too

AFRICAN POMPANO, juvie, off butterfly jig!!

SHARK that had appeared to have no teeth (smooth dogfish?)

GAG GROUPER, only caught 1 all day & it was 4" too short

CUBAN HOGFISH, 8 to 11", off the small hooks with squid

*Some Pictures: (I took a bunch but I will try and weed thru and select a few)*

Turtle came by to say hello:

Pulled out a piece of bait from the Northern Mackerel box and it was pink! wt*?!

a 14" Trigger - caught consistently off a hard bottom

a Mr King coming up

The 11" cuban hogfish (i had to google id these, lol)

Two at a time!

Juvie:

28" AJ had been caught before - still had the other person's hook:

Another 28" AJ (sucks the rules changed!!!):

This one's for Lobsterman! Two AJs at a time on the green butterfly!:

Gettin into the Lanes:

Day would not be complete without me getting a shark

Scott's 30" AJ:

Lake of Mexico for the ride home:

Great report .  cool pictures and all.  You gotta love those  AJs....  we went out sunday and  every AJs  was 1" short/ lots of red snapper, sharks and some trigger fish..'till flipper  showed up. I though dolphins  were smart fish, but these ones  were hooked on my diamond jigs.....talk  about pulling drag...they were like 300lbs+ easy ...hooks  gave out in all  of them...... Fist time I  see those cuban hogfish...cool color scheme...nice  very nice, oh!, one question  what depth did you get those Ajs on....

one question what depth did you get those Ajs on....

225 - 250, they were near the bottom and up in the water column
