Yamaha 225 4 stroke 2003 model

Has been on the rack since September

Some gas in the tanks but not full

We want to take her out this weekend.

I'm thinking I'll fill er up with fresh (1.87 per gallon!!!) gas and the recommended amount of stabil.

And give her a shot.

Any other suggestions?

In addition to what Kenny said, I would fill up with at least mid grade 89 Octane. Really should use it all the time. As low as it is now maybe even the really good stuff 91 octane.

Like Kenny said, the Sta bil is a before thing. The Sta Bil Marine formula is designed for routine use, not just a stabilizer.

I just took mine out last weekend for the first time since about august.  no problem with the engine running other than a dirt dobber nest in the pee hole.  just a reminder to check that.

I don't believe there would be a need for premium or mid grade. It's not like it was up for 6 or 8 months and the fuel has a chance of going bad. The motor has only been sitting up a month or so. I would recommend that you add stabil before you put it back up.

Thanks guys.  I had stabil in it but not in the proper doseage I'm afraid.

I'll gas-er up and see what she'll do.

Kenny, looks like it will be Spring before the hours turn for that tune-up!  Work shedule has me land-locked.
