Any tips on removing the fuel filter and replacing with new one.  I tried to remove the one on my fuel line with an oil filter wrench but it would not budge.

pull harder,,, just be careful not to pull the head from the boat,,, you may have to remove the whole thing and put it in a vise... make sure your replacement is a 10 micron filter

Suggest remove the entire filter fixture if you are having that much trouble . Put older style inplace with water seperator that you can manually empty water. This will reduce the oxidising from forming.Aluminum does rust that is the white power that builds up.That way you will be able to change filter element later on.

A step further is to install a Whole new unit that has the Stainless mount.

https://www.surplusunlimited.com/storefront.htm

Fuel/Water Separator Kit SS Bracket-Racor Filter
Code: 3516
Price:$78.69

Get the best for your gasoline engine, a long lasting stainless steel bracket and a Racor S3213 filter. 10 micron aqua bloc media with blue see-thru bowl. 60 GPH. Requires two hose barbs that can be ordered below. Replacement filters available below.

Here you can see 2 of the above that I have installed in my boat. The stainless mount doesn't choroid like a alum does.
