Sadly, the time has come for me to sell my ride. The bike is a 2001 Kawasaki Vulcan 750. Has apprx. 9,400 miles on it. Everything is in great condition and there are no leaks. All paint and tins are in great condition as well. I installed a MF battery and K&N air filters earlier this year. Cobra crossovers pipes installed makes it sound more like a harley than a kaw. Also included will be the Clymer shop manual,Kawasaki windshield, &1 XL full face helmet.
$2400.

| Dammit man! I wish you'd stop posting, especially dropping the price! Part of me wants another bike, and that is NICE! I doubt it's worth having to sleep in the garage for though (as the wife might mandate if I were to buy it)! Good luck!

Sounds like you put a lot of thought into your offer, but I really can't take any less than $2400. I need to go back and delete the post about an offer. That was before the price cut to $2400. Sorry. The bike books at $1000 more than that. I understand your situation, but if things change, let me know.

framerguy, now you didn't have to go there and publicly post a PM. You said you could only do $1000 now and have the other $1000 in 4 or 5 months. It kinda puts a little different perspective on it when somebody has $2000 all at once.
Sorry if you misunderstood that.

Sorry to hear that you got laid off from work. I know full well how much that sucks!! As I told you earlier, I have been laid off my job since last April and I haven't been able to pick up much in the line of work since then. But the more I see that bike, the more I want it!! I found it very amusing when flounderpounder posted that he was chafing at the bit to buy another bike!! He said exactly how I feel right now!! I would love to get another bike but I am simply strapped for funds and, although I have enough coming in from other sources to eventually save up for it, I can't seem to get enough together to buy your bike all at one time.
You mentioned for people to make you an offer, so here goes. In light of my circumstances and the fact that I don't try to jew people down on their prices when I feel that they are fair, I want to offer this:
I would be willing to pay you $2,000 for your bike, I know that's less than you want but I also am looking at my situation as well and that is where I am at right now. I would like to see the bike and would meet you half way somewhere on I-10 if you could do that for me. I would pay you $1,000 cash at that time and let you hold the bike for me until I can save up the other $1,000 for the balance. That should be within the next 4 or 5 months. If this sounds too hokey for you to do, I will understand completely. And I want to assure you that I am not trying to nickle and dime you down on your price, that is simply all I could afford even under these circumstances at this time.
If you want to consider this and want to meet me so I can take an up close and personal look at the bike, that would be great! I am off most days and could meet you maybe somewhere on Interstate 10 at a truck stop or gas station. The exit to DeFuniak Springs, which is about 20 miles North of where I live, is Exit 85. We could meet at Exit 45 which may be about half way for you and for me. This week is not the best for me as my old boss has called me in to do some framing for her and watch the art gallery while she and her husband go somewhere out of the area to deliver some large framed pieces of original art. I will have to work on Thurs, Fri, and Sat, which is OK with me as I can danged sure use the money!! Today or tomorrow is OK, or about anytime next week would work.
Again, if this is too far out in left field for you, that is perfectly alright with me and I will understand. It was just another idea that I had to get the job done for both of us.
Let me know what you think and good luck on finding some part time work until you go back to full time again. I don't forsee me going back to my old job. It is about time for me to change careers anyway after 22 years of custom picture framing. The challenge is gone for me and I need to find something else to keep me out of trouble!
