| Does anyone know where I can locally get two part foam that I can use when I reinstall my fuel tank? Going to need a pretty good amount and I just hate using the big chain "boat" stores to get it. thanks.

Is the new tank aluminum or Poly?? I don't recommend using foam with aluminum especially, it hold's moisture against the tank all the time!! I will typicaly strap a tank in, or have tabs welded on the new tank and secure it to the stringers that way. I can get you foam if you decide to go that route!!

| if it's alum, will need to paint the tank with coal tar to resist what tony is talking about. i have some left over i'll let go for a couple six packs of stella. should be enough to do a 50 gal tank. may want to check with bobby (x-shark) or just go to www.classicmako.com and look in the projects section. do a search. lots and lots of stuff on there about foaming tanks.

As said 2 coats of Coal Tar Epoxy will stop any corrosion problems if water gets in the fuel coffin against the tank.
You want 4lb density foam for a alum fuel tank install. This is not available local. I order it from fgci.com. [Fiberglass Coatings Inc.]
But I do have aprox 1/2gal of Part A & 1/2gal of part B here on hand. That will make 2cuft and may very well be enough for your project.
Only 2lb density is available local. 4lb is not available as far as I know.

| Hey Freespool, I'd like to get that coal tar epoxy from you and the Stella won't be an issue. Anyone else know where I can get more locally? I have a 212 gallon tank that I am putting in so I will need more. Thanks.
