Me(diesel84) and my buddy Mike(buckheimer) are starting a team to play division B softball. The games will be at the parks on Nine mile road. The season starts in less than a month, we are looking for about 8 more people. It will cost around $50 sorry $30 per person to play for the season unless we find another sponser. Chris Couture said he would provide the shirts for us. If you would like to play or would like to sponser our team please post or pm me. Thanks

ya'll need to keep in mind that most of the teams playing at that park are the loaded teams that moved from the city park. me and bow down played the spring league with a decent team and got smoked every night. they did a very poor job of seperating the A and B leagues. actually they didn't split them at all. it's a good reason to get out of the house and drink beer though.

Hey guys, my name is Matt.  I'm a longtime lurker here on PFF.  Anyway, I'm the guy that is in charge of the softball leagues on 9 Mile Rd.  If you guys end up getting a team together, give me a call and I'll get you all squared away.  My work cell phone number is 554-1995.

There will be separate divisions, (the first season we did didn't have enough teams to separate them out) Men's A and Men's B leagues.  Games will be played on Wed. evenings.  There will also be a coed league, as well as a church league.  Call me if you need more information.

Hope to hear from you soon!

I though this was PFF related? Asking for sponsorships doesn't make much sense. I'm sure we can get the cash needed to support the team from the members of the forum. I really do not want to bring in any third party sponsorships. I like to keep the forum "non-sponsored" and not tied to any businesses to it because of the topics discussed on it.

If you want me to support this, it needs to be PFF only with no other local businesses need to be involved.

I agree... If Chris is kind enough to say he'll give a partial sponsorship, I think that the $25-$30 per person is easily attainable. I played in the Exchange Leage for a while (we built a pretty dang good team) and we all fronted $50 per person. So, I wouldn't look for any more help. If folks can't swing $30 to play ball, they need to spend that time working instead of drinking beer anyways.

Chris, I sure wish I were still in Pensacola, I would gladly represent the forum.

It is a PFF team. I didnt plan on making it anything other than that. I was not looking for any other Buisnesses to get involved. I was just looking for some members to help pay for equiptment cost. Maybe (sponsership) was not the right word to use.  Any members that would like to donate, loan, or contribute to the cost of the equiptment for the PFF softball team please pm me thanks.

not being a dick but why not provide your own equiptment....you can get good bats at a good price online...just gotta do a little homework, you can get gloves cheap at academy...if you have a couple of guys on your team that have bats then your set becasue you cant swing but one at a time...good luck and have fun!!!
