| Took a day for myself and hit the water for some relaxation by myself. Wanted to get underwater, but couldn't find any takers. So I played at 3-mile a bit today. Could keep the white trout off my hook. Got one stud trout that was 19". Kept 7 for dinner. Also caught about 10 or so undersized gray/mangrove snapper. All released to grow. I eventually stuck a white trout fillet on a bigger rod and just stuck it in the rod holder. About 30 minutes later it takes off. I grab the rod only to find that what ever it was (probably bull red) had wrapped the line around one of the old pier pilings and then snap. The bay was nice and I had a nice relaxing day on the water.

Thanks for the report! Those are some fat white trout. It was probably a red that got away. I have noticed red fish seem to like white trout filets.
