Today the snapper bit really well. Tried a few new spots today and found lots of fish on several of them. Took my brother and his lady friend with me to look around and we had a blast. On a couple of the spots we got to sight fish, wait until we saw one and then throw a free lined bait at him. They ate everything that hit the water. We caught probably 30 keeper fish in the 16-20" range and kept our limit of 6 nice keeper reds and one black snapper. These spots are 2-3 miles off the beach in about 60' of water. At one time we could see over one hundred fish under the boat, no chum in the water, they were just swimming around. Lots of kings also, lost lots of hooks to their teeth. The weather was perfect for this type of fishing today, flat calm and little current. We also caught two short lings and saw a third one of the same size. Back at the house frying fish and watching football by noon, great day. Forgot my camera in the truck so I just have a dock picture.

Nice catch, find these spots on your own? We found a couple like that, when we had motor trouble and were cruising back at 9knots!

You catch some, you lose some but the beer will never say no or try to run away.
